I am in full-on summer prep mode this week - how about you? I have the organizing bug (yes, I pulled out those old Home Edit books), I have the patio furniture out and washed, and every client I've had in the last 15 years is calling to get some website updates knocked out ahead of Memorial Day.
Which means the season of being everyone's personal Trip Advisor is about to arrive. You know what I mean...when every person on the street (including your mom) asks you where to eat, where to hike, where live music is happening 😳
Yeah.
Here's the thing - as much as you may not love being a local tour guide, you have some major competition when it comes to making suggestions...search engines!
Search engines are FRANTIC to try and beat you to that recommendation.
So if you're in business, whether you're service-based, product-based, in hospitality, or not, you've GOT to be telling those search engines where you are so they aren't guessing.
Make it easy for both robots and humans: say where you are, say it often, and say it like a local.
